Montgomery Zoo

Last month we took a trip to the zoo.  The Montgomery zoo hold sentimental memories to Kyle and I.  We both remember well Brennan taking his first steps there!  We proudly showed Brenna the exact spot!  I don't think it meant quite as much to him as it did to us!
We did have a great time though.  The Rhinoceros was a little intimidating.  Someone had been feeding it grass and when we got there he wanted more.  So we got a great view of his teeth.  They were not nice and shiny!

I love these last two photos.  Daddy giving Ryleigh a flower and her sheer delight!

Go Pirates!

Connor's Soccer team this spring was wonderful. I was alarmed at first when I found out Connor was on the pink team.  I envisioned him refusing to wear the pink shirt, but Connor handled it in pure Connor fashion.  it was just no big deal.  The coaches went out of their way to make the color overshadowed with the cool pirate patch.  The "pirates"  and we say "R"!  The funny part is, Ryleigh was bothered by Connor's pink shirt.  She was determined that it was her shirt because it was "pink".
As I said spring soccer was great! The best experience we have had with a team sport! It was all because of his two coaches! They put so much into it! From banner, team spirit, real coaching, extra practice, positive attitudes, fair player experiences, you name it they did it. I was most impressed with their positive rewards ( little iron on patches) that made the kids really want to achieve. They got a soccer patch for every goal they scored, and smiley faces were awarded to the players for their other special achievements like sportsmanship, or team work! Connor's skills excelled so much! He made eight goals this season and four smiley faces. We can't wait for fall soccer!

Silly faces!

My children love to pose for the camera.  Unfortunately, this is not to take a picture of them smiling pretty.  It is to be silly or to show off something they have made. Actually, these are my favorites.  They seem to show their true personalities and accomplishments. Here are a few examples.

These are were taken while watching one of Brennan's basketball games.  See, no one wants their photo taken unless they are feeling neglected.  You know, the "hey, look at me syndrome"!

Theses were taken on what I refer to as "A good Mommy Day"  Those days I found time or made time to do something extra special with my kids.  On this day, we colored the noodles and had noodle art!  They loved it!

With Brennan in school, it seems like our time together is harder to find.  This was taken at the Aviation Museum.  He was working on a school project, becoming Orville Wright!  This was obviously a detour in the museum.  The aircraft is a little too modern for Orville!

Missing the moments!

A few weeks ago we were able to make our much anticipated Disney World trip!  It was everything I hoped it would be.  I was hoping to sit down and blog those moments.  Unfortunately, the pictures are on Kyle's computer and he is traveling.  Those memories will have to wait.  I started looking at all the pictures I haven't posted and I just need to preserve the moments a little more.  So if these seem out of order, they are! I don't want to forget any of these precious moments with my family.  I am all to aware how quickly the times flies by!
