Happy Valentine's Daddy

Snow again!

It is no secret around here that I am not a fan of SNOW! After spending 2 years in Arizona I have been spoiled with beautiful sunshine. I find it comical that Kyle's favorite sport is skiing. I however have vowed to never put myself or anyone else through the torture or danger of me strapping skis on.

But, because Kyle is so remorseful that he is missing out on this year of living near the snow and because my kids like to give me such a hard time about my dislike for the snow I have tried to be a good sport.

I took the kids sledding at Christmas. The first time Connor went down he ended up with snow in his face and said, "I'm never doing that ever again!" I wanted to say, That's right, me neither! Instead I encouraged him to warm up and try again. He did end up liking it, darn it! Brennan thought this was the best day ever. He slid down in pure delight until the last two runs when the crash was just a little too much to bare.

Connor in misery!

Papa and all of us enjoying the day! ( I did have fun too!)

Ryleigh shares my thoughts. She is disgusted when the snow falls on her! She wants it off immediately. But, if the boys are going out to play in it then she will follow. Today, however, the boys were coming in before I had finished dressing her in all her clothes. You can bet I made them go back outside for another 5 minutes of funin the snow! Too bad it never lasts longer than5 minutes.

Oh gross!

Dress Up?

For months after Ryleigh was born people would ask me if it was different having a girl. I would always reply, "She sure screams louder!" It just didn't feel that different and I was a little hesitant to make it seems as though I loved her any more than my boys. But lately the difference has become more apparent. Don't get me wrong she can still scream louder than anyone I know, but I'm talking about all the fun "girly things" she does.

At about a year old I started putting bows in her hair. Now she brings me bows to put in her hair.

She has a fettish with shoes. If I need her to have them on, she takes them off. If she doesn't need to have them on, she must wear them at that exact moment. And in the car we play a little game. I put them on her before we leave, she takes them off socks and all while in the car. I tried just not putting them back on and letting her go bare foot, that caused a huge raucous!

We have now moved on to "Dress up". You tell me. Does this count as Dress up?

She is putting on Connor's Superman "Dirty" Underwear

Here she is modeling Mommy's Sportsbra and Daddy's Athletic shorts. What can I say, it was laundry day!

And this was her latest creation. Just wear it all at once! At least it was clean!

I'm not sure, but I think I may be in trouble. Any suggestions?

Halloween

Happy Halloween, Daddy! We Love You!

Well, lets just say it feels like the plague set in this week. We came down with the stomach virus and it put a cramp in our Halloween plans. I was bummmed because I actually made the boys' costumes this year. Luckily, we did get to go trick or treating! We made it around the block and then Brennan requested to go home and pass out candy. I was quite surprised. But, he had more fun feeling big and passing out candy then anything else. Anytime the doorbell rang he would say, "Well, I've got customers!"

Favorite Fall Pics from the trip

Fort Niagara

This was the highlight of the trip for Kyle being the history buff that he is! It is a fort complete with a castle that dates back to the 1700's built by the French. It was later occupied by the British and then changed hands between the American's and British a few times. It was complete with one of the oldest churches, a drawbridge, cannons and cemetery. With Kyle as my guide to explain quite a bit I really enjoyed it!
